Easily upload your audio and video files from wherever they are stored. Placing an order is quick and simple. Options are available to make sure you get exactly what you need.
In order to have your audio or video files transcribed or captioned, you first need to create an account. Creating an account takes less than 30 seconds: name, email address, and password. That’s it.
After you’ve created your account, you can immediately upload files directly from your computer or point us to files already online. You can upload files one at a time or as many as you’d like in a single upload.
We currently support the following audio and video file formats: aac, aif, aiff, amr, au, avi, cda, gsm, flac, flv, m4a, m4v, mpeg, mpg, mid, mov, mp2, mp3, mp4, mpga, ogg, raw, shn, sri, video, vox, wav, wma, and wmv.
After you have uploaded your files choose from one of our three services: Transcription, Standard Captions, or Premium Captions.
Let us know when you would like your files back. We offer different turnaround times at different prices depending upon the service you select. All the details can be found on our Pricing page.
When ordering transcriptions, you’ll have the option of requesting Timestamps for an additional $0.25 per minute. You can also request Verbatim for an additional $0.35 per minute.
Regardless of the service you choose, you can add Transcriber Instructions to any or all of your files. These instructions can include the names of individuals in your audio or video files, specialized terms, or anything else you think might help the transcribers working on your files.
When you are ready to place your order, you will need to provide payment information. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You also have the option to keep your credit card information on file with us to make future orders a snap.
We also allow high-volume customers an option to be billed monthly via invoice.
After you have your order configured and have supplied payment information, you can submit your order. The Submit Order page will show you the total for your order (there are never any hidden costs) and the date and time by which your order will be ready.
Our team of qualified transcribers works around the clock to produce fast, accurate results. Our system automatically matches jobs to workers to make sure you get the best possible results.
After your order is placed, your files are immediately analyzed and posted to our secure Job Board.
Only the transcribers who possess the necessary qualifications and training are allowed to work of your files.
Our transcribers are graded on every job they do and care greatly about their performance. High-performing transcribers gain access to higher-paying jobs and additional work opportunities.
Although our transcribers are qualified, trained, and passionate, every job is reviewed by a second set of eyes. Once a transcriber is done transcribing, all jobs are then independently reviewed by an official Speechpad Reviewer. Only then would we return a file to you.
At any time you can sign in to your account on the Speechpad website and track the progress of each file in your order. You’ll be able to see when each file has been picked up by a transcriber and when the file is under review. You can optionally choose to be notified via email as well. We won’t leave you in the dark.
You will be alerted as soon as your files are done and we can deliver your files via email, FTP, and more. Of course your satisfaction is guaranteed!
