Timestamps are markers in the transcription to indicate when the adjacent text was spoken. Timestamps are in the format [HH:MM:SS] where HH, MM, and SS are hours, minutes, and seconds from the the beginning of the audio or video file.

Verbatim transcripts provide an unabridged word-for-word account of the audio, including every utterance, including ums, ahs, stuttering, false starts, etc. They also include non-verbal sounds, such as laughter, coughing, crying, pounding, ambient sounds, etc.

Audio Requirements

We offer a number of turnaround options so you can find a solution that works best with your timeline. We guarantee that work will be completed within your chosen turnaround time, provided that:

  • The audio is clear and understandable, without too much background noise or crosstalk.
  • The dialogue is in English without heavy accents. If you need foreign language transcription, please contact us before placing your order.
  • The audio or video file is in one of our supported formats: MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, OGG, AMR, M4A, M4V, AIFF, MP4, MOV, FLV, WEBM, WMV, AVI, or VOB.

If your audio doesn't meet all of the above requirements, we'll do our best to get it done for you in the time frame you requested, but we may let you know that we need additional time to complete the job, and in extreme cases, that we will need to charge an additional $1.00/audio minute. If either of these conditions apply, we will give you the option of canceling the order for a full refund.

Delivery Guarantee

For 12 and 24 hour delivery orders, we guarantee to meet the deadline, provided that the audio requirements are met and the files are not longer than 30 minutes. For 48 hour delivery orders, we guarantee to meet the deadline, provided that the audio requirements are met and the files are not longer than 3 hours.

If we are not able to meet the deadline due to one of the reasons above, we will refund the difference between the turnaround time you ordered and the turnaround time we met.

If you need rush delivery for files that exceed these lengths, or if you need same day delivery, please contact us and we'll work with you to provide the fastest turnaround possible. If you have a consistent need for rush delivery, we can set up a dedicated team to meet your needs.
